Saxscape
Mouthpieces are made for the needs of working professional
musicians, based on proven designs for the best balance of articulation,
tone, projection, and intonation. They're made from cast acrylic rod,
a resilient material approved by the FDA for food contact. Many thousands
of hours of engineering, careful hand crafting, and pro player consultation
have gone into ensuring excellent value ($250) and high consistency.

BarryPRO SERIES:
The Pro Series has launched with the introduction of the NF108
Tenor Sax Mouthpiece. This piece is the one that I feel is the most
flexible in terms of tone, dynamics, articulation, and is the one I feel
most comfortable on as a player. This particular design is based on the
classic craftsmanship of Frank Wells and work he did on Florida Links
in the 60's. The Dark 108 and Downtown Studio 108 are also available immediately,
with new sound samples and photos to be added soon. The Dark 108
is based on a fatter Link sound with less edge than the NF, and the Downtown
Studio is a high baffle piece inspired by the legendary Dukoff
and Guardala sounds. As a matter of production, it is far easier for me
to ensure quality having these three pieces as opposed to the multitude
of styles and tip openings that I offered previously. I will be adding
pieces to the Pro Series as they are further refined.
CUSTOM SERIES:
The Custom Series mouthpieces (not available currently) include all the
other styles that I have made, from the Xtra Dark to the Red River, and
including the alto pieces. Currently I am refining the designs for these
pieces to be able to make them more consistently. I did have some success
with those designs, but I need to do more research on the pieces that
I don't have a good reference piece for. I am not taking orders for new
Custom Series pieces, but I do have a number of them in stock that are
available for sale. Please review the old

regarding specific availability. Custom Series pieces should become available
again later this year, at $325. You can also visit
my studio here in East Stroudsburg, PA to try out anything I have
here and purchase it at the current $250 price.
